The MDSC Experience
Welcome to the Mt. Diablo Ski Club website! We are a lively and active ski (and more) club, with limited invitation-only membership to allow generous use of our club cabin in Soda Springs, CA, minutes away from the best ski areas in the world.
We subscribe to the creed of "living in harmony"; our cabin is a friendly place to relax and rejuvenate, build lifelong friendships, have fun, and celebrate a shared love of the Sierra Nevada's mountainous glory.

Mt. Diablo Ski Club History
Mt. Diablo Ski Club was founded in 1948 “to develop and foster an interest in skiing, to provide the necessary facilities and a ski club, and to offer social and recreational activities attendant to winter sports.” Through the years the club's cabin has been the winter base for many National Ski Patrollers, our members competed in fun-races against other local clubs, and we've hosted many social activities. Today the club is a vibrant community of friends and families who use the cabin year round.
The Cabin
Built in the 1930s, the cabin retains the charm of an earlier era, with the convenience of modern amenities. You can warm yourself by the huge stone fireplace, or relax with a drink on the front deck. Fast wifi keeps you connected - but most prefer to unplug while here. Six family-sized private bedrooms and two shared bathrooms are open to our members and their guests. With its open plan dining/living room, game room, porch and cozy backyard patio, the space creates community and sparks lively conversation.
